So, if you still didn't figure out what his microphone is, it's my tripod. He started using it as a microphone a few weeks ago. I guess he saw the microphones at church on the stands and figured that's what it was. He is such a ham!!

And it begins...........

Cupboards are emptying and boxes are getting packed.

Well, some of you know that we have sold our house--for those of you who didn't know---we sold our house. It all came about VERY quickly. We didn't even have it on the market, nor had we really planned to have it on the market yet. So we know it was all a "God-thing". We wanted/needed to move because our house is only 3 bedrooms and Hayden would probably like to have a bedroom at some point...yes, I admit he has been sleeping in our room all this time...not in our bed, but in our room. I haven't minded that at all and really don't care what everyone thinks about it either, but I it is time to begin trasnsitioning him to his own room, but there is no room. Some people might say "put him in the room with Conner", but seriously be realistic...do you think a nearly 13 year old wants a 1 year old in his room???!!! I don't think so!

So our big problem is, we don't know where we are moving...and the closing will be at the end of this month! We have some ideas and some possibilities, but unless God steps in again, they won't be happening by the end of the month. Our buyers are possibly willing to give us an additional 30 days in the house and that may be what we need. This is so crazy overwhelming though!

Pray for us as we pack up from the home we have lived in for the past 16 years. The first/only home our children have ever known (they are a little nervous about all this). Pretty much the only house that Frank has ever know (his dad built this house and he grew up in it). The memories, good and bad, that we have shared here. I am excited about our new move, and we need it, but I have to admit, I am a little nervous too.

Easter Egg Hunt

On Sunday, our friend Emily hosted an Easter Egg Hunt for her daughter Ellie Lu. Mom and I took Mari Cate and Hayden. Mari cate loves to hunt eggs, but obviously this was Hayden's first egg hunt, since he was just an infant last year, but that didn't stop him from figuring out this egg hunt thing VERY quickly! He didn't know he was supposed to put them in the basket so he tried to get as many as he could into his hands! It was really cute. And with a little bit of help from big sissy, he found the prize egg for the young children's hunt! Thanks Mari Cate! The Easter Bunny was there with a real bunny too that the children got to pet and hold. It was a very nice day and we enjoyed our afternoon. Easy Supper!!

The other day I saw a recipe in the Publix ad for a Mediterranean Scallop Dish. Well, I love scallops, but Frank doesn't really care for them, so I was thinking this over and came up with a similar recipe but with everything I had here at home and it was so easy and so good! My ENTIRE family liked it!!

1 pound boneless skinless chicken (cooked in a bit of olive oil and Italian Dressing--go easy on the oil because the dressing has oil in it also)
2 boxes of Green Giant Simply Steam Vegetables--Broccoli and Carrots with garlic and herb seasonings
Spaghetti Noodles
Italian Dressing

I cooked the chicken, cooked the vegetables and cooked the noodles. I put the noodles and veggies in a casserole dish and tossed them with Italian Dressing---be careful not to use too much and make it watery. Add the chicken and voila! you've got a fantastic meal!! Add some garlic bread and it will look like you worked very hard on this easy meal!

Our Day at the Park

Last week Mari Cate had a field trip to the Science Theater. I didn't go to the Science Theater but, I met up with them at the park for lunch and fun afterward.
